Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American sportscaster. She is currently an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN, working as an anchor of SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. She started working at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful ability that allowed her to secure her first position working as an assistant to the producer for Univision in Miami which allowed her to collaborate with producers of National programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was later employed by the CBS station to work as a sports journalist. In 2009, she relocated into Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Reporting on stories on drug trafficking and immigration on both sides the Texas-Mexico border, she was reporter for news on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 at 5 pm. She was as a reporter for news in English until 9pm, after which she became a news anchor until 10 pm, and then returned on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel. She was also frequently required to act as a sports or weather anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed additional duties. She also did segments on MLB's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and the NBA Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and was the anchor. She was anchor for the sports segment of Despierta America Deportes morning show. The same job was held as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on UniMas Network. Antonietta Collins' parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd of November, 1985. She's older than her sister. Her family relocated to Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. In the course of a few months, her father separated from her mother and she was subsequently remarried by 1995 naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away of kidney carcinoma in the year 2006. While on a vacation, Antonietta stayed at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins brother had recently been offered an offer to work. As a senior in high school but having a clear vision of about what she wanted to pursue with her life Antonietta visited at the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her preferences. She discovered that she enjoyed the university and that the school offered the major she wanted. She completed her schooling and was admitted to the university as a major of media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station manager at WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. Mark Bergmann was the person who instilled her confidence, and his passion for journalism deeply touched her. In turn, she strived to fulfill his expectations and never let him down.
